I could design and build something for your one-rotor
but it wouldn't be
cheap! (because of the time involved).
Hi
Perry,
Just
hold that thought for now. The other thing is that there's no reason
to believe it would solve the torque reversal issue, so I'd better find
out more about that before I start looking into the next option.
BTW, we
don't hear much from you. Is the non-ducted fan version still working
out well?
Thanks,
Rusty
I'm just flying and lurking. If there is
something on the list that interests me I will respond.
I aquired about 500 hours on the ducted fan and something over 50 on
the PSRU now. Everything is great, no glider time.
I flew from Oregon to Kansas and back last July, a wonderful and
uneventful trip, except I learned once again I can't burn 100LL and the
TCP fuel additive does not work.

Yes, the torque reversal would still be an issue, and I expect you will
need some amount of flywheel. I had the stock heavy manual transmission
flywheel on my ducted fan. I intended to replace it with a lighter
weight racing aluminum flywheel, but was concerned about the strength
of it and never got that far.
