Guess I could calculate torque based on calculated HP & rpm, but
would that really add anything? If I could think of a low cost way
to measure it directly, that would be a nice thing. Alas, cheap
ways to do that are hard to come by. Paul Lamar suggested an annular
piston (to sense pressure) behind the sun gear but I don't think that is
either simple or cheap. At least not for the guy that actually has
to do it.
