I don't have a real solid understanding of the various video codecs. It seems most video's usually come as .mpg, .mov, or .wmv formats. I have a video player that can play some .wmv files, but not others. I think Microsoft has changed the specs over time and it can play the older ones. My editor lists a half dozen mpg formats, but doesn't seem to generate a file for half of them. (I'm probably missing some codec thingy.) I can also make a .avi file and a .dv file. I'll generate both of those if anyone wants to try them. Give me a day or two. Bob W.
