Good idea Bill,

I need to make a list of all the things I should check perodically.

I've found a couple of places where the oil is seeping out.  One is the
copper seal on the oil cooler fitting.  I don't remember if I used a
new one.  The other leak I thought might be the oil vent is coming from
the gear reduction oil return fitting on the block.

After the initial euphoria wore off, I find the engine could be running
better.  It's missing out a bit below 2000 rpm.  Also, one test I did
(but didn't write down) was killing the leading and trailing plugs.  I
think killing one of them caused an rpm increase, so I may not have the
timing set where I think I do.  I need to confirm that.  I made an
initial attempt at auto tune but it didn't work out too well. The bar
graph just kept going down till the engine started surging.  It was
nice to have the B controller which brought it back to smooth running
again.

Glad to hear that the muffler seems to be working. Please check often for stress/fatigue cracks at the joint of the short tubes to the big round can. The can expands and contracts with each heating cycle, and the other end of the tubes are fixed by the temperature of the block. It may be okay, but worth checking frequently until you get experience.
