Common sense is required when using the -3 fittings. No putting them in with the 1/2 drive breaker bar and 2 foot piece of pipe! That said any non ham-fisted person can use them. If you regularly strip 1/2-13 bolts then use a torque wrench!

Shoot, Bill.  I haven't stripped a 1/2-13 in...oh, I don't know...weeks!  'Course, I haven't lifted weights in a while and the Feds are making sure I'm not taking all those steroids, so maybe I've got it under control.  8*)  8*)

BTW, isn't the rule "tighten until it strips, and then back off 1/4 turn"? 8*)
