I was thinking about the oil pressure readings that Lynn recommended. On our turbo engines we have actually two relieve holes: One is the turbo lubrication which is tapped into the engine oil pressure and the other end is basically open ended to the oil pan. The other one is the PSRU lubrication system. Also a 1/4" relieve tube that takes oil pressure from the system and it is open to the oil pan. Doesn't that lower the overall oil pressure?
My engine at 3000 rpm makes about 50-55 psi OP with 15-40 oil. So I wander if it is adequate? I know if I run 20-50 it will be higher.
