Joe/ Bobby,
If I remember right, splitting the spark doesn't help until over 6,000 RPM. Before that split or the same time - is the same.
I believe that's why Tracy went with same timing as he was running with a 2.17 ratio PSRU and was never running over 6,000 RPM anyway.
If your running 2.85 Ratio PSRU and running at 7,000 + for
take-off isn't going to matter much anyway. From what I've read it's the 8,000 and 9,000  RPM where the split timing is an advantage.

However could be wrong!

Joe,

It can be set both ways. They can fire at the same time or you can split firing the plugs and specify the time delay. Better fuel burn with splitting the plugs according to Adkins but I am not sure what affect this would have on SAG. I think I want mine firing together.

Are you firing both plugs (same rotor) at the same time or do you have the leading and trailing split? Might not make any difference.

Bobby

The MicroTech is setup to manage a Rotary – so it has independent firing parameters for leading and trailing plugs.
