Oops.  Joe, Rusty is correct - I get to thinking EC2 and forget other units are being used.  However, I seriously doubt that Tracy's recommended static timing is far off.  All electronic ignition systems set max advance statically and then retards it from that max advance to get the timing they want.  So even if not using Tracy's Ec2 10-15Deg is still way too retarded in my opinion.

I’m pretty sure mine is at 5-10Deg BTDC. When I checked using Lynn’s patented tooth counting process I found the Crank Angle pickups to be perfectly aligned and the yellow dot was about .5” ahead of the pointer.

Hi Joe,

I believe it was Ed that made the 35 degree suggestion, but he's referring to Tracy's instructions, and you don't have an EC-2.  What you need to do is make sure you set it accurately, per MicroTech's instructions.

Lynn is probably right on the money about the timing being off, and that 2000 degrees is WAY hot.

Overall, you're making wonderful progress.  Keep up the good work.
