SkySmith is aware of the rotary community and once I = told him I was using Tracy Crook's equipment - it made a difference. Also the fact that I had over 250 hours flying time on the rotary made a = difference. =20 Scott (SkySmith) is the BEST! He really baled me out when Avemco = screwed me over on the RV-3. He just seems to be the only agent I've found that = will really try to get you insurance. Sadly, he's still at the mercy of the underwriter, and their rules don't always make sense to us. =20 =20 I've spoken with him several times over the last week, and know that I = could insure the single rotor engine in a number of planes, just not the Kolb, since AIG doesn't write policy's on Kolbs. He's tried, but they won't budge.
