That's all I can think of.  When you leave the oil cap off, and rev the engine, do you get a lot of oil fog out of the filler opening?
Mostly large droplets.

Dumb question, but is your oil overfull?

I am using up to 40" on take off but mostly cruise around at 32" or less.  This is more that I used to be able to  RPM has never been over 6500.  Never lost oil pressure, oil never even gets very hot.  My new cooling duct works well enough that I am running it a little hotter than I used to be able to do, but nothing too far out.

That all sounds dandy, and I would expect a bad seal to blow out more of a fog than droplets.

After my oil out, when the side housings were warped, it looked like the engine had a smoke system when you ran it.  It was also clearly rough running.  The oil vent was fogging the area almost as much as the exhaust was.

Yea, you are way down on non-flying aircraft, I recommend buying more  :-)

Great minds think alike :-)
