In electrical world, gray 40 of any size is heated and bent to necessary shapes by use of a heating pad like device that wraps around and supposedly takes to correct bending temperature. You might want to sand fill, cap and try one of those. Also remember, they make several different shape U-bend, 90 ell, sweep curves for you to try and glue it all together the way you want / like it.

The gray schedule 40 pvc will get soft up around 200 deg. and might lose its
shape.  I have put it in the oven and shaped it.  I have also over heated it
and had it to collapse.  When I pulled it out of the oven it was like
handling spaghetti.
