At Sun-n-Fun 2004, Francois stated that they found
that with the pressure pulses in the manifold, that with the injectors on the
far side, they got condensation of the heavier components from the gasoline on
the walls of the tubes, and then this flowed into the engine under certain
conditions, causing an extremely rich condition.

I find it interesting that after all of their
experimenting with injector positions - they chose to have all four very close
to the intake port.

I was tempted to pester them directly, but it sounds like
he'll post info when it's available, so I'll leave him alone. If you
see an update, please pass it along.

Rusty you can see the
fit on their web site www.mistralengines.com They
fit very closely over the top of the engine. The picture shows the old
manifold which fits up the same the new shape is slightly different of
course.
