There are electric superchargers out there that are for sale.. ebay has dozens of them at any given time.
 
I have sent email to some of them.. one responded that they are not appropriate for continuous duty, and none of them were able to give me pressure vs flow data or compressor maps for any of them.

Would it be possible to build an electric turbo that could just be switched on when needed? Would you need to vary the speed with the throttle or could it just blow full force? Or would this idea simply take to much horse power for an electric motor to handle?
