if the power to weight ratio is not getting him,
nothing will. I hope I can give him the chance to test the p-port throttle
response himself, it is better than anyone (even Rusty) needs on an airplane.
(I hope I have not turned you off Rusty).
Hell no
Richard. Just good clean fun here. I've said many times before
that I hope to see the p-port work out, and I'm watching you boys with
interest.
As for
power, put your prop rpm where you keyboard it pal :-) I have it from a
pretty reliable source that your PP isn't going to beat an REW based
single rotor at 7500 rpm. As for weight, I plan to lose weight the old
fashion way, by paying for it. As soon as someone comes out with
aluminum housings, I'll be down to the same weight as you are, or very close
to it. When you're not a master machinist, that's the best option I'm
afraid. The biggest penalty I see now is using the RD-1C drive, but that
can be lightened if I get obsessive. I chose the Kolb SlingShot as a
test bed, because it can cope with the weight that I'll have
initially.
Cheers,
Rusty
