This was identified by a significant pressure drop in oil supply. He remedied this by putting in an extra pick-up tube as the oil pump was being starved of oil at 3,500 rpm. No one else has, to date, to my knowledge, identified this phenomena and it was interesting to LATER discover that he had developed his own DEEPER oil pan. Someone suggested to me that the racing people only ever had this problem when the oil pan was overfilled. Now for the life of me I can't understand why this is so, but I feel compelled to advise you of this so that you may watch for possible pressure drops, if your developing a deeper pan.
