Bill,
That price is very good, however do you plan pulling it down to do an
inspection ?
George ( down under)

I bought a six port RX-8 engine from Rupert <tannrup@bigpond.net.au> on
Ebay for $1800 plus shipping etc.

This engine is nearly new. It looks absolutely perfect. It was strapped to
a pallet and covered with fiber pads and shrink wrap. Fantastic job of
packing. I highly recommend Rupert at Asian Auto Spares, 198 Kingston
Road,
Slacks Creek, Queensland, AU 4127
Tel: (07) 3208 0133 if you need an RX-8 engine.

The paperwork fees from the US shipping companies added almost $200 to the
$350 shipping cost. Customs was free, but a pain in the butt. They
appeared
to automatically assume I was trying to do something illegal or illicit.
After a trip back home to gather the invoice and proof that it actually
was
a used car engine, (and I really did pay $1800 for it,) they acted
pleasantly surprised that I had been honest with them all along.

Even with the shipping and BS fees, the total cost was $2345. Not bad
considering it came with all the accessories (including the injectors.)

Here is a picture of it in my van after I took off the wrapping.
