You are right about he prices, now go and imagine Chadwick
- $18.000,- or more!!
Now if there would be enough members to share, but it is a
long shot for money in that neighborhood.
Try the helicopter kit manufactures. There is some cheap
balancer out there they recommend. At least on the newsletters you will find a
reference.
Start with "helicycle" - for me the best single-seater on
the market.
Also the ACES 4040 is way out what we need.
Actually if I ever need my own balancer I would forget
about $4.000.- of software for the helicopters. Generally their programs are
"self-teaching"
(on the 4040 you can switch off that feature....) and if
you get an odd run on the rotorsystem it starts to suggest "very wild" solutions
:)
So it is better to just use the balance charts that come
with the helicopter manuals. Your gyro has some track and balance
charts?
Check the 1717, maybe they have a refurbished
model....

balancing?
Web are using ACES products which a re considered half
the price of a Chadwick. We use a 2020Turbo for the helicopters and it costs
around $12.000.- with all the software for the helicopters.
Thanks
Thomas,
I already
have an email into ACES about the 2015, and 4040. I figured they'd
be outa sight.
I
also found a place called Dynamic Solutions
Systems that has a kit that is hopefully more affordable. The original link I
found was from an EAA chapter that bought one for their members. I know
our EAA chapter can't afford anything close to $10k, so maybe this one is far
cheaper.
BTW, balancing a single rotor eshaft and gyro blades
would be extra reasons to own a nice tool.
Cheers,
Rusty (dreaming, but I have to
ask)
