As stated earlier, have turned pump off momentarily and back on, the engine restarted immediately. For longer duration engine off  glide testing, should both the injectors also be turned off? My concern is that without fuel in the rail, engine windmilling , the control will probably continue firing the plugs and injectors. What should be disabled beyond turning fuel off ??

Hi Bernie,

I'm with Al, as far as preferring to turn only the injectors off.  The question is whether the EC-2 knows to stop wasting it's time firing the plugs when you have all the injectors off.  That would have to be a Tracy question.

Next question is- does it matter if they fire?  I don't see why it would, but it does seem unnatural.

Finally, if you want to make sure, I'd just turn off the EC-2, and leave the pump and injectors on.  Correction, "I" wouldn't do any of the above :-)

Cheers,
Rusty (leaking and out of balance)
