This guy isn't blowing smoke... just for some secondhand info/history... I just spoke with a fellow local rotary enthusiast (more like guru- he's been doing rotary stuff about as long as anybody) and apparently RPI (Rotary Power, Inc) bought out the rights from an older NW company (at one time in my town of Sandpoint, ID) called Rotary Power Marine.  RPI was doing work for John Deere and a bunch of marine applications (tugboats, etc).
Now apparently Atkins bought all RPIs marine stuff (casting molds, etc) so it's kind of ironic how it's back in the NW plus how small of world it is with rotaries.

BTW if the one marine engine is in good shape then just the Camden supercharger on it is worth what he's asking...

There's a really small/light/high-horsepower supercharged rotary powered jet boat here in Sandpoint that literally just about flies.  It's absolutely unbelievable how fast it goes.

As it turns out, the guy selling these, Rodolfo Alonso, is probably the most trusting, and trustworthy person I've ever dealt with on Ebay.  He actually shipped my engine before he even got the money, then held the check to make sure I was happy before depositing it.  Now I wouldn't expect him to do that for something as expensive as a new Renesis, but I've never had anyone do that for any priced item before.  Even though I have no use for a Renesis engine, I came soooooo close to buying one, just because it was such a good deal, and such a good person to deal with.

I'm strictly posting this because I feel like this guy is trustworthy, and is offering a great deal on these engines.  I've also given him Bruce's number as well, so you could just wait and let Bruce sell you one for more money :-)   Just to be clear, I have no stake in this whatsoever.  I just hate to see such a great opportunity slip by anyone who needs an engine.

Below are some comments from his emails.  His email address is:  Rodolfo Alonso [turira@yahoo.com]

-------------------------------
  • The Renesis engines are brand new, I have two 6 ports at $4,500.00 and three 4 ports at $4,000.00.
The Brand new Renesis that I have come with alternators, intake manifold, wiring harnesses. We brought them straight from Japan, they've been sitting in the warehouse for around 10 months now. I can say that they are in perfect conditions.

  • I also have a 10 Dyno hours 4 ports Renesis with a side seal broken at $1,500.00, in this one the water pump, oil metering pump and the flywheel are missing.
  • I have two 13b very rare edition with only two leading spark plugs, they don?t use trailing spark plugs, compression ratio of 9.2:1, they were meant for gaseous applications, you know LGP, natural gas, hydrogen, etc, I could go down to $2,000.00 on those. They are almost new.
  • I have a used 13b with an apex seal broken in $1,000.00. It only has like 20 Dyno hours.
  • I have a supercharged 13b, with intake manifold, marine exhaust, etc, rated in 240hp, for $2,200.00. It has attached a zf marine transmission that probably is worth that money.

One thing I want to make sure you understand, the origin of those engines is complete legal, I used to be the chief engineer of a company (Rotary Power, Inc) that used to do research with Rotary Engines. We sold the technology that we developed and I had to sign a settlement agreement where says that I can not disclose what we did.

We just sold the warehouse and between the engines and the Dyno I'm driving my self crazy. I wish I would have room and time to play with them a little bit more, maybe in another life.
