I discovered today that there is another liquid temp VDO pin available on
my EM2. Decided it was time to read the cool side as well as the hot that
I've been reading. Does require 2- 200 ohm resistors to be wired in, but
did that to get the cool side of coolant radiator reading. My problem was
where to locate the VDO. Finally decided to add a 3/4 inch sq X 1/4 in
thick aluminum mount near the exit of the cooler. The other oil temp VDO
is located on the oil filter as the oil comes out of the engine. Removed
the oil line where the oil leaves the cooler and ran a heavy tie wrap
around in there and it seemed to be clear to drill for the 1/8 npt
fitting into the header there. After drilling the VDO hole and the 4
holes for the pull rivets, there was peice of odd looking metal between
the holes. It was not obvious that the drill holes had touched the
object, but it seems kinda flimsy there. Does anyone know what I am seeing and did I screw it up so that it might
come free and plug my oil line???

Bernie, waiting on medical so doing some things that need doing but been
ignored!
