I remember him predicting a 15 degree delta, but I can't recall what the delta applied to. Al, when you ran those numbers, were you able to take into account that the smoother surface would possibly help create a laminar boundary layer at the rotor face. I don't recall doing analysis on rotor coatings; I think it was exhaust coatings. I just calculated the temp drop across the thin ceramic coating; which would be about the same for a rotor. My super computer was on the kaputz, so I couldn't do the boundary layer turbulence analysis; I doubt there is much laminar flow in there.
