FWIW,
The oil filter diverters I've made have provisions for putting a sensor into the "clean" oil stream. In the photo below, the blank facet in the lower left is reserved for that fitting.

In your other reply, you question the oil pressure tap for temperature. Looks to me that if you tee off to the reduction drive there will be enough flow to use a temp sensor there also; could be wrong??though.

Just about any place there is a reasonable flow of fresh oil would probably do for the temp sensor. I measure my oil temp after the oil cooler as that is the place Mazda did and set the temp limit. I personally like mine in the main oil flow channel. I just drilled a hole at the bend of the elbow and tapped it for the sensor treads and has been working for 275 hours. But more than one way to get the job done.
Regarding the TB, Ebay is a great place to find TBs where people have switched to something bigger. I purchased both of my TB form e bay for around $25 - $30 including the 75mm one - the guy went to a 90 mm TB - could probably put hour head in it {:>)_
