Interesting... I've always used 231 cubic inches per gallon of water and it's always worked out (building fishtanks... having the numbers helps). The online conversion engines yield the same numbers. It looks to me like you stuck a zero where it doesn't belong just to the right of the decimal point... the number should be 1.8046875. Just trying to keep you honest <g>.
