The new housings are turbo, Finn.  Yes, the NA's has splitters which reduce the noise level by 8 db according to the Mazda data I have seen.  However, I am also certain there is some power loss with the splitter given that level of noise reduction - probably more at the higher rpms than the lower.   In any case, since I ported the secondaries - decided that going with an NA housing would just put more of a restriction on the gas flow when I was porting to get more gas flow.
 
I don't have any real data to back up my assertions about power reduction - just my intuition.

Hi Ed, I missed one point. Are the new housings NA or turbo?

If turbo, why? The NA are supposedly more quiet due to the splitters.
