First, I have 3mm Hurley seals installed in my 20B, and don't relish the thought of tearing it apart to change out the apex seals. (At the time I was rebuilding my engine, Hurley seals were the seal of choice.) If they actually are too soft, then I would like to know about it now, not after they ruin my day. The comment was made that Hurley seals are so soft that they are wearing out pre-maturely. It would be a good yardstick to have the numbers on the stock Mazda seals as well to use as a reference point to know how the Hurley seals compare. =20 Mark =20 =20 ________________________________ From: Rotary motors in aircraft [mailto:flyrotary@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Russell Duffy Sent: Monday, April 25, 2005 1:30 PM To: Rotary motors in aircraft Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Soft Seals Sloppy slots S^4 =20 Rusty, Mark I have access to the equipment to perform a Rockwell Hardness test.
