Subject: [FlyRotary] fuel = pressure=20 problem solved

Rotary=20 people,
I found the=20 problem that had been causing intermittent low fuel pressure on = one side=20 and thought others might be interested. There was a small amount of=20 "crud" in the inlet side of the pump. I'd estimate about 1/2 cc = of what=20 looked like urethane foam dust that had got through the strainer and,=20 presumably, was shifting around and occasionally causing a minor=20 blockage.

Since I'd=20 already obtained a replacement pump I put it in anyway. Interestingly = the=20 original pump, which I got from = Tracy, was a Walbro Inline fuel pump-GSL393. = This is identical in outward appearance to = the=20 Walbro GSL394 I just replaced it with. The 394 is a slightly = higher price=20 model with slightly better specs. Both models have all metal = construction=20 and 1/8 NPT metal fittings either end. I got mine from Lightning = Motorsports.=20

By the way,=20 Lightning Motorsports is aptly named - They're unpredictable, = unresponsive to=20 suggestions and on time delivery of their products seems to be about a = million-to-one chance. :)
My 2 c for=20 the day.
