I do not know the compatibilities between year models for the starters
across the RX line...
To use Tracy's RD-1 Series PSRU's, you need the 86-91 auto tranny flex
plate, and the starter is from the 86-91 Manual trans, normally
aspirated, engine. You may check with a parts house to see how many
different choices there really are.. but if it will fir the 91 NA MT,
it will fit the RD.
Double check with Tracy, but I believe the same eccentric shaft is used
in the RX-8 (according to tracy's travails on his webpage at
www.rotaryaviation.com (what's new section). So.. same eshaft means
same thermal pellet.

Is this so? What year(s)? Is the auto starter different from the
manual?
Does the RX-7 thermal pellet plug work, or is the RX-8
different?
Thanks again, in advance :^)
