Hmmmmm, I just read the ACRE site (I have yet to be excommunicated. I hope I
am not, I do get useful info there). ACRE comes in delayed as I think the
moderator screens every email then post in bulk. Paul's comments, IMHO,
were not bad. He seemed to be more concerned by the fact that he was not
credited. I can understand and respect that. He does put a lot of work in
his drawings and theories....I am happy to give him credit for his work and
dedication, even if I don't always appreciate his tone. Oh, and I like
NACA's, of course, I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. <g>
FWIW.
All the best,
Chris

Key word there. The guy is blowing smoke up your ass.
What smoke? That's copyright law, not Paul's opinion. The Rhino renderings
were Paul's creations, and therefore he has a copyright on them.
What can he possibly do? ... Jim S.
So, if you can outrun the grocer it's OK to steal his apples? What can he
do
to you?

Actually, copyright is very easy. As soon as you create a copyrightable
item,
it is copyrighted. A copyright can also be registered, but doesn't have to
be.
see:
http://www.templetons.com/brad/copymyths.html and also,
http://www.whatiscopyright.org/ Note the paragraph "Material provided by
others .."
Paul Lamar's drawings are his creations, and I respect his right to limit
reproduction of them. It wasn't clear if he was objecting to them being
used,
or being used without attribution.
The patent process is lengthly and not so easy.
Note: This is not a legal opinion, just my personal opinion based on past
study of the matter. (Don't want to get in trouble with the legal
profession!)
