Bill J.  Could  you post a little more info about the dry sump?  How
much of  the oil pan can be eliminated?    BTW,  the reason  you have
seen nothing from me about the  P port manifold for the past couple of
weeks is that I have been tempted to eliminate the water pump and go
with the EWP.  If I do this and relocate the alt.  some valuable real
estate for the intake would come available.     Jerry
Jerry, There are two ways to go. Mazda racing sells a front cover integrated dry sump. It is expensive. Most of the sump can be eliminated. The important issue is how many scavenge ports (oil pick-ups) you have. The other alternative is to run an external pump. These are available from several manufacturers. I like the Barnes Systems pump right now. One interesting possibility is that the pump has a through shaft that can be used to drive an external EDWP if so desired. I would like to drive the pump from the standard oil pump drive chain if possible. there is a bunch more to it but I need ot get back to work right now, more later.
