I'm curious... what do they do to create the wear surfaces on those housings? 
 There has to be _some_ kind of bearing surface to take the abuse of the side, 
corner, and oil control seals... gotta be something pretty tough, at least 
tougher than the seals that ride against them.  Any clues?
