An electrically operated solenoid valve is reasonably
inexpensive and not too heavy, but is strictly an on/off valve. An electrically
actuated control valve is very $$$$, bulky and heavy. Unless if you know of a
source for one that is none of these. I think this is a case where we are about
to try to over-engineer a simple device. Better to leave this one to
ACRE.

What about the
electrically operated valves (see list from Paul). It looks like it
would be easier to install in that you don’t have any control cable running
through the firewall. And you won’t have the cable sticking out into the
cabin, just a switch.
