Rusty! Much cheaper to cool the EGTs by going lean. Unless you
turbo, I don't think it is even possible to hurt a rotary by going too lean
(unless the fire goes out and you hit the ground : )

I'm afraid I haven't
paid much attention to EGT's, except to turn up the mixture when the EM-2
flashes at 1800 degrees. For max power, adjust the mixture until
the RPM peaks :-)
Seriously, I don't
tune or adjust mixture based on EGT. I can't wait to test out my FJO
wideband O2 meter in the real world though.
