Position the cursor just to the right of the last character in his signature. Left click and hold the button down while you drag the mouse down until it highlights all text all the way to the bottom, including the standard list info. Release the button & hit <enter> on the keyboard.
This will put the cursor on a new line below the original post and in the left-most column, without any bars, previously used colors, etc.
At least, it works for me using Netscape.
