I spoke with their rep who retails all the Racemate stuff. They are
looking into a low profile 13b water pump/alt combo.

I believe the Racemate alternators can be stacked.  If so, two of the 32
amp units would eliminate the belt driven alternator completely. I spoke
with John in the past and he indicated that there is no way these units
can go into an over voltage condition. So,, stacking two units and
eliminating the need for external voltage regulators. That is worth
$500.  Will it fit a Renesis? , 2nd gen 13b, 20B ????

Mark, I talked to Racemate and they indicated that they would build
crank pully alternator FOR THE ROTARY if there is enough interest.
Perhaps we should get together and contact them. They are priced
reasonably for a custom alternator about $250. I would love to BUY this
alternative. We have so much to do I don't want to make my own light
bulbs!

OK, now you've got my interest!  A crank mounted alternator could make a
great backup power source.  So, why can't we come up with a simple
method of mounting a PM alternator, or 55 amp ND, on the end of the
crankshaft?  That shouldn't be too hard to do. (easy for me to say)
