Here is a posting from someone who was not happy with their Racemate alt/water pump assembly. Seems his problem is that he is running lower rpm's than we are. Interesting reading, however. Note Paul that he didn't say thatthere was anything wrong with the unit, only with theway he had it installed on a street application. We normally have the opposite problem, and need under drive pulleys etc.. We are talking about a separate e-shaft mounted unit here. Not the combo waterpump drive. You could always run that as your second (backup) alternator.
