As I'm using an EWP I'm not interested in the water pump, however I wasn't aware that this combo was still belt driven. There's no advantage over a standard belt driven alt. But I sure do like the direction this topic has turned. Todd Bartrim (snowmobile stator in hand, wacky idea in head) Todd, I looked into the water pump alternator. The problem I see is that it still needs a belt. It would be harder to change, and much harder to find a replacement if/when it quits in the middle of nowhere. I looked into = the water=20 pump alternator.  The problem I see is that it
still needs a = belt. =20 It would be harder to change, and much harder to
find a replacement = if/when=20 it quits in the middle of nowhere.
