The last motorcycle I would choose as an example, a Norton. Well maybe a Triumph. This is not old tech this is ANCIENT tech. Hell the Kawasaki Z1's I first worked on in 1973 were 20 years more current than a Norton using a Ziener Diode for cripes sake. DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM! They were only marginal on a motorcycle in 1960! There are many much better motorcycle charging systems, say anything '75 or later. I like some old motorcycles including Nortons but Lucas Electrics... They didn't call Lucas the "Lord of Darkness" because they always worked well!
