How's the engine starting these days?  No more ether?  Cold start working fine now?  I'm hoping Tracy has forced you to tie the plane down and run it full throttle to make sure all's well.  Be careful, and give us a good first flight report when you're ready.

No more ether required since I wired around what appeared to be the problem of a leaking DPDT switch.

I have run it at full throttle tied down, but cut it short because I was not sure where the oil cooler side temp was reading on the EM2. Tracy's got a lot of stuff on there for an old fart to grasp :>) Will do some more high power runs before flying.

Biggest time comsumer on the plane that I have left is putting the #3 bolts into the Z members between the tank and the spar. You put these in from the rear of the spar thru the inspection plate. It is #*$### time with my big clumsy mitts in there.

Not sure if I'm doing the maiden flight or our resident test pilot , Tom Hahn. He had said he would, but I'm beginning to think there is slim to no chance of a problem with the RV9A, but more likely if there is a problem, it will be with the engine installation and I'm more familiar with it than he is.
