If they keep the dimension right so that I can fit one in front of my nosewheel shaft, I'm in for $250.  Only twice the cost of a mass produced, off the shelf part, and it'll save me about a month of development work.

It would still be nice to have a backup driven off the oil-metering pump shaft.  Even 10A one will push the battery life beyond bladder capacity.
