I use it constantly. It would be the ideal tool to use to measure the current draw for each of the loads on your airplane. It would also be useful in load testing (capacity testing) your battery. You can get one used for about $100. New, they cost about twice that. Be careful to get one that measures DC amps, (not just AC) OK, I'm holding you personally responsible for the fact that I spent a couple hours looking at DC clamp on meters. I've often needed one, but for some reason never got one. I now have an Extech 380947 on the way.
