That was the reason I was looking for a permanent magnet DC motor. A DC motor is just a DC generator in reverse 8*). If I could find a 500W DC motor rated at 6000RPM I'd be set. I think it would be a relatively simple task with this information. Well, simple compared to a plans built airplane.
