I want 200hp for a Christavia STOL A/C on floats, Paul Lamar suggested P-porting, I was going to use street porting. I've ordered Tracy Crook's PSRU, EM2 & EC2.

Holy cow!  And you guys complain about my red html text :-)

Hi Georges.  Which PSRU did you order, the 2.17 or the 2.85?  If all you want is 200 HP, and you don't mind turning 7500 rpm (which is no problem), then a healthy street port and a 2.85 drive will do what you want.

There are a lot of people working on PP engines, but so far, I don't think any of them have proven the concept in the homebuilt environment.  It's true that PowerSport has done it, but at a cost of more than most of us will make in a lifetime.  I can't wait until some of these PP guys get flying, but until then, it's unproven.  If you want a sure thing, go with a good street port, and 2.85 drive.  You could also really screw up your life with a turbo :-)

Cheers,
Rusty (no PP, even though I'd like to try one some day)
