Bernie =20 I keep the EWP on all the time. The first item on my engine start = checklist is to turn on the EWP, and listen for it to make sure it's running, and sounds normal. The only time I'd ever want to turn it off is if I had = an alternator failure. Unfortunately, since the most likely cause of an "alternator failure" is the belt, I don't dare turn off the EWP. I'm installing a proper temp sensor on the rear housing location, and may = use it to determine if there's flow, by turning off the EWP momentarily. With = the Evans coolant, that should be reasonably safe. I could also just use = that sensor to trigger the pump as well.
