Hi Dave;
I predict that down in your sunny climate you likely will just
consume most if not all of that water with no noticeable effects,
however up here at this time of year, problems arise when that water
goes too hard to pump, so I won't be getting rid of my drains.
My previous header tank had a small sump in it with a drain and
originally, I also had a gascolator after the header tank. I would
occasionally find small amounts of water in the tank drain, very seldom
find very small amounts in the header tank sump drain and I never found
any water at all in the gascolator drain.
Todd Bartrim Heresy it it, but before I go to my lynching I think I would like to try
a little magic. Next time I get the chance, I am going to POUR one full
cup of water into my gas tank. I will let it set overnight. Then I
will attempt to start the engine without draining the fuel. If my magic
works, the engine will start an run just fine after a few seconds of
running the pump. If the test fails, I will put the drain plugs back in
(and eat a crow).
