That was the 3rd one in 2.5 years. I was using them because I could fit 2 of them in the stock van's battery box. I decided to get rid of the lead acid and go with the oddessy 680. That was a very good choice, but I could only fit one in the battery box so I have been using just the one for the last 20 hrs. It turns over the engine faster that both of the lead acid batterys together. Reading that report reminded me that I mean to put a second battery back in, so I have ordered a second 680. It just occured to me that it dosent need to be in a battery box at all! And I can mount it in any position. Since I just installed the Bluemountain EIFS, I will then truly have an IFR capable plane. I LOVE their new EIFS G3 (mostly because it is only $2700). It is amazingly bright and fast! I am the first customer to get one installed and flying. Lastly, I am taking N4VY down to Mexico in 10 days to whale watch (and drink tequilla probably). Unless anyone knows of someone else who has done it, I am guessing I will be the first rotary powered airplane in Mexico. Cool.
