Hadn't even considered that.  Goose it on a steep hill, and you could easily flood a car engine.

The closest we come to that in airplanes is the difference between a prop unstalling on the takeoff run, and running it flat out in cruise.  I bet the mixture knob wouldn't be enough to compensate for the difference.
