Devcon makes some stuff called "Super Glue Remover". However, may I hazard a guess that if you were in too much of a hurry to be careful in the first place, you probably forgot to have some remover on hand (pun intended) in advance.

I had a pastor who decided to superglue part of his dentures back together rather than see the dentist. He put the dentures into his mouth, then held the part in place with his finger. You can guess the rest.

They actually use superglue as a substitute for sutures in some medical applications. I once had a nasty but fairly clean slit in my wrist (no, it's not what you're thinking) and I superglued it rather than go to the emergency room. I suppose the medical stuff is sterile and all that. Probably costs $100 per quarter oz., too. I just used Krazy Glue and I'm still alive. I threw some in my flight bag in case of a really bad landing in a remote place. Handy stuff.

Oh yeah; this reminds, how do you get the damn stuff safely off your finger when you get too much glue on in too much a hurry ?

What I have been shown is to superglue the end piece to the apex seal,  with spring place under it, and with the corner seal in place, gently but firmly slide the apex seal ( one piece now) and spring into place.
