The Moroso site calls the 20942 a Deep Sump and the 20940 a Rear Sump. I spoke with a Moroso rep this morning in the fab shop and he said the 20942 is a Front Sump. The instructions on the Moroso site for the 20942 say to install the oil pickup tube in the opposite direction. See note 4.=20 =20 So,,,,, it would make since (to me) that 20942 is a indeed a front sump in the car. Remove the oil pump pickup, noting which direction it is mounted, replace the gasket with the new one supplied. Replace pickup in the opposite direction that it was removed and tighten hardware to 10ft. lbs. (14 N-m).=20 =09 =09 5. 5. Using a thread-locking compound on the supplied mounting studs, screw all studs into the engine block about 3/8" deep.=20 =09 =09 6. 6. Apply silicone sealant to the engine block and on the oil pan rail. Slide the supplied Baffle Tray over the oil pump pickup and press onto the engine block. This Baffle Tray helps to de-aerate the oil when it is subjected to race conditions.=20 =09 =09 7. 7. Set a new gasket onto the Moroso Oil Pan. Install pan with the supplied hex nuts and tighten in a X-pattern to 9ft. lbs. (12N-m).=20 =09 =09 8. 8. Before replacing the stock dipstick it must be trimmed from the bottom about 7/8". I do not see it listed on Fred's site. =20 =20 Hi Bobby, =20 My plate is laying in the garage, and is 1/2" thick. I'm also sure the studs will be too short, but I'm guessing McMaster Carr has a solution to that problem :-) I wonder what the modification to the dipstick will be. Looks like it will probably have to be bent near the bottom to get near the deep end of the pan. My plate is laying in the garage, and is 1/2" = thick.   I'm also=20 sure the studs will be too short, but I'm guessing McMaster Carr has a = solution=20 to that problem :-)   I wonder what the modification to the = dipstick=20 will be.  Looks like it will probably have to be bent near the = bottom to=20 get near the deep end of the pan.   I should have mine Friday, = so=20 we'll see.
