I need to bo back to = the airport to measure it, but my best guess is that it started out as a = 1/2" thick plate of aluminum. They used an end mill and milled out a = rather large pocket to reduce weight. Their website may tell more info = regarding the thickness of the plate. Check out Conversion Concepts = www.conversionconcepts.com Click on the motor mount plate for more = info. It has cutouts for the dipstick tube, oil pickup tube, chain = clearance and pressure release valve, plus a pocket milled out to = lighten the unit by 2.85 pounds. Hope this helps. After I replaced the banjo fitting = with this adapter, I found I had a little more clearance. The Earl's = aluminum female swivel is fairly thin-walled, and there is more daylight = between the fitting and motor mount bolt now.
