In my local Pep Boys store the oil pan plugs are hanging on
the rack with the other hardware in the hardware aisle. I have used these metric
oil pan plugs as adaptors by drilling and tapping for NPT threads and then using
a standard NPT-AN fitting.

idea. At least that's more positive news about finding one of these.
I'll take my old fitting with me the next time I go by one of these
stores.
